The Democratic Alliance has announced the resignation of their provincial leader, Bonginkosi Madikizela on Wednesday.
This is after he was suspended recently from the party amid claims that he lied about his qualifications.
“We respect his decision and the honorable route he has taken by stepping down as a leader,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, Albert Fritz is still serving as the acting provincial leader.
