By Thys Khiba – The Young Communist League of South Africa (YCLSA) Tisha Vanga district will be writing to the African National Congress (ANC) Provincial Coordinator Paseka Nompondo and Convenor Mxolisi Dukwana advising them to immediately suspend MEC advisor and ANC member Tshediso Mangope.

This is after Mangope took to social media a picture of his child who started his schooling at Grey College saying that “No magwinya and archaar eating SADTU person will teach my children.”

“An attack to the Working-class is an attack to us! The YCLSA Tisha Vanga has learned with great disappointment on the attack and insult to the downtrodden and the Working-class by the remarks of Tshediso Mangope who believe is the member of the ANC and also a deploy of the ANC,” said YCLSA district Chaiperson Lepile Nkwadipo.

According to Nkwadipo, the controversial Tshediso Mangope continued to mock the South African Democratic Teachers’ Union (SADTU) by posting ‘inappropriate picture’ of two women who were in a swimming pool by referring them as SADTU members.

“We take this as an attack to the Union, ANC, Working-class and voters in realization for a better South African for all. We believe he is running a project of Anti-Black Progress.”

Speaking to Free State Central News, Nkwadipo said ‘as poor and marginalized…’ they are proud of magwinya and artchaar SADTU teachers who don’t impose whiteness on them.’

Meanwhile, the YCLSA provincial structure has advised the Free State MEC for Cogta, Mxolisi Dukwana to take disciplinary action against his advisor Mangope.

“The YCLSA has ironically learned that Mangope was taught at Reamohetse Secondary School which is a government no-fee school, with a vibrant SADTU branch. It is unknown what the scientific link is between teachers who eat magwinya and atchaar and the quality of public education and/or its educators, but Mangope seems to suggest that such circumsatnces are not fit for the development of his elite child,” said YCLSA FS Secretary Mamiki Setabela.

Setabela said they are worried that the governing party has ‘planted’ what would seem to be a ‘political dangerous fellow’ to advice its Provincial Convenor and MEC Dukwana.

“Mxolisi Dukwana has played towards dismantling a well-established historical cartel of political malfeasance and elitism, it does not auger for the well for him to have such a toilet mouthed fellow equally influencing him in such close proximity and straining alliance relations simultaneously,” said Setabela.
