EFF’s Dr Mgcini Tshwaku
In a recent Central News interview with Tim Masemola, Dr. Mgcini Tshwaku, the EFF’s City of Joburg MMC for Public Safety, expressed his delight at the renaming of William Nicol to Winnie Mandela Drive.
Dr. Tshwaku revealed that the motion to change the name was initially brought in by the ANC and later amended by the EFF. Although it was proposed in 2018-2019, the implementation has been lacking.
Speaking proudly of Mama Winnie Mandela, Dr. Tshwaku emphasized the importance of the name Winnie Mandela, stating that even the EFF Headquarters is named after her. He praised her revolutionary spirit and unwavering dedication to the struggle, stating that she never sold out.
