In an exclusive discussion with Central News, Midvaal Mayor Peter Teixeira provided details on the Mayoral Student Aid Programme, initiated by the Municipality in January 2024. This initiative aims to assist young people seeking higher education. After receiving a vast number of applications and conducting an in-depth evaluation, the municipality today handed over a total of twenty-nine (29) students were selected to receive financial support through the programme.
