FREE STATE , BLOEMFONTEIN – The Hawks’ National Priority Violent Crimes team (NPVC) together with Crime Intelligence (CI) and Tactical Response Team (TRT) all based in Bloemfontein arrested two suspects aged 31 and 53 last night following a cash-in-transit heist at a mall in Heidedal, Bloemfontein on Monday, 11 October 2021.

“This comes after security officials from Fidelity Cash Solutions were accosted by three suspects while collecting cash from a supermarket. One of the security officials was hit on the head with an unknown object by a suspect. The suspects then took the bag containing an undisclosed amount of money including the firearms of both security officials as they fled the scene with a sedan.” , said Captain Christopher Singo

“The investigation was conducted by the police which culminated in the arrest of the suspects. They are expected to appear in court soon.”

This is a developing story.
