The Hawks, South Africa’s Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, have made another breakthrough in the alleged robbery at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala Farm. According to Hawks Spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale, a third suspect has been arrested in connection with the case.

The 27-year-old suspect turned himself in at the Bela-Bela police station on Thursday, leading to his subsequent arrest. He is set to appear in the Bela-Bela Magistrates court today, 10 November 2023. This development follows the previous arrests of Imanuwela David (39) and Frolina Joseph (30) who appeared in court earlier this week.

David and Joseph were arrested on charges of house breaking, theft, and money laundering. Mogale revealed that the newly apprehended suspect is believed to have played a role in the house breaking and theft at the Phalaphala farm.
