MBABANE: Swazis are boycotting King Mswati who summoned the Nation to Ludzidzini Palace on Friday, some Government trucks across the country are returning empty.
Reached for comments, Richard Vilane, the Hosea Indvuna YeNkhundla confirmed that a truck returned empty at Hosea on Friday morning after the people refused to go to Ludzidzini.
“As Inkhundla(Constituency) we had arranged that those who wanted to participate in the protest march be allowed to do so like those who wanted to attend Sibaya. We can confirm that a Government truck that was supposed to transport those who want to attend Sibaya returned empty” said the Constituency Headman.
King Mswati who might face crimes against humanity for killing dozens of civilians who were demanding democratic reforms summoned the Nation to his Ludzidzini Palace on Friday. On another note, political parties and the civil society had organized a protest march in Manzini in demand for democratic reforms.
Government Spokesperson Sabelo Dlamini did not respond when asked to comment on the latest developments.
Royal insiders revealed that some members of the security forces were ordered to attend Sibaya to enhance the crowd as the King faces more pressure from the people to surrender power. @swazinews
