21-year-old defender Samukelo Kabini has signed with Norwegian top-flight club Molde FK. The transfer, valued at approximately R15 million, marks one of the highest fees for a player from the Betway Premiership and establishes Kabini as the first athlete from Kwandebele to join Molde.

A New Chapter in Norway

Kabini’s contract with Molde FK extends until 2028, reflecting the club’s confidence in his abilities and potential for growth. Upon his arrival in Norway, Kabini successfully completed his medical examinations and was officially unveiled, signaling the commencement of his European career.

Renowned for his versatility, Kabini excels as both a left-back and center-back. His physical strength and adaptability have been key assets throughout his tenure with TS Galaxy FC, where he made significant contributions over the past one and a half seasons. 

A Historic Transfer

The R15 million transfer fee sets a new record for TS Galaxy FC, underscoring the club’s commitment to nurturing talent capable of competing on international stages. Club chairman Tim Sukazi expressed immense pride in Kabini’s achievements and anticipates that this move will pave the way for more TS Galaxy players to enter European leagues.
