Popular South African Sione gospel artist Dr. Kenny Makweng has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke, his record label KennyMak Productions has announced.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Dr. Kenny Makweng has collaborated with gospel giants such as Mojeremane, Oleseng Shuping, and Winnie Mashaba.

EFF Member of Parliament and Kwaito legend Eugene Mthethwa has taken to social media to appeal for prayers for the artist, describing him as a ZCC Gospel singer who last year obtained his BA degree. He urged fellow artists and fans to pray for a miraculous recovery.

In a statement, KennyMak Productions informed the public, media, promoters, and fans about Dr. Kenny Makweng’s current health condition. The label requested privacy for the artist and his family during this challenging time and asked for support and prayers from the public.
