Bloemfontein — Police in the Free State have launched an urgent search for 7-year-old Bohlokwa Lechuti, who went missing after school on 25 October 2024. Bohlokwa was last seen by her grandmother in the morning when she was dropped off at Rekgonne Primary School in Phase 9 in Bloemfontein, but she was not there when her grandmother arrived to pick her up later that day. Bohlokwa was wearing her school uniform, a blue skirt with a yellow shirt, black school shoes, and carrying a red school bag at the time of her disappearance.
Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli, spokesperson for the local police, has called on the public to assist with any information regarding Bohlokwa’s whereabouts. The search efforts have involved community members, Bloemspruit police, and the family, who have spent days canvassing the area in hopes of finding the young girl.
The police are appealing to anyone who may have seen Bohlokwa or has relevant information to contact Detective Sergeant Joseph Mbobo at 073 279 3214 or call Crime Stop at 08600 10111. Alternatively, information can be sent via the MySAPS App to help with the search.
