The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Sasolburg is urgently seeking the public’s assistance to locate 16-year-old Ashley Selala, who has been missing since Sunday, 15 December 2024. Ashley was last seen leaving her home in Vaalpark early that morning and has not returned.
Details of Disappearance
According to reports, Ashley’s uncle and his wife left their residence on Saturday, 14 December 2024, leaving Ashley in the care of her older sister and other siblings. The following day, Ashley reportedly left the house early in the morning and did not return. Upon the uncle’s return on Monday, 16 December 2024, at approximately 21:00, he discovered that Ashley was still missing.
Police Appeal for Information
SAPS Sasolburg detectives are actively investigating Ashley’s disappearance and are appealing to the community for any information that could assist in locating her. Detective Warrant Officer Freddie Nel is leading the investigation and can be contacted at 083 756 7977. Alternatively, individuals with information can call Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
