By Thys Khiba – The SACP’s Top 6 leaders in the North West Province have been re-elected for another five year term in a provincial elective conference held on Friday.
Madoda Sambatha, who is also the MEC for health in the North West province, has been re-elected as provincial secretary of the party.
This is after the party managed to host their 9th provincial congress on Thursday 07 until Saturday 9th of April in NgwenyaHotel, Stilfontein.
According to their newly elected provincial secretary Sambathahas pronounced the conference as politically successful without the presence of the South African Police Service (SAPS).
Speaking about the Russian Ukraine conflict, Sambatha agrees with his party’s national deputy general-secretary, Solly Mapailathat the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, is justified, a contradiction to President Cyril Ramaphosa position, which encourages dialogue between the two countries.
Madoda believes that the Russian President Vladimir Putin is not the aggressor, the aggressors is NATO and the European Union, more especially encouraged by the dominance of the US government.
Smuts Matshe was re-elected as the provincial chairperson, while Nick Mapheelle was re-elected as the first provincial deputy secretary.
