The newly formed political party, RISE Mzansi, is set to present its plans for the Gauteng province on Monday, 15 April 2024. This announcement comes as the country prepares for the National and Provincial elections set for the 29th of May, 2024.
Scheduled to take place in the heart of Johannesburg, at Beyers Naude Square, the rally promises to be a pivotal moment for the party as it seeks to cement its position within the country’s political landscape. Mabine Seabe, the Party’s National Communication Director, highlighted the significance of the upcoming rally, sayinh, “The RISE Mzansi Gauteng Plan rally will be addressed by RISE Mzansi National Leader, Songezo Zibi; Gauteng Premier Candidate, Vuyiswa Ramokgopa, who will deliver the keynote address; and Gauteng Provincial Convenor, Tebogo Moalusi.”
“Gauteng needs new leaders who will implement a plan that will ensure that residents live happy and dignified lives, which is a departure from the empty promises made by the political establishment,” said Seabe .
RISE Mzansi made its first foray into the political arena with the unveiling of its manifesto earlier this year in Hatfield, Pretoria. The manifesto shed light on the party’s key priorities, including economic growth, job creation, and poverty alleviation. Since its inception in April last year, RISE Mzansi has relentlessly pursued engagement with communities across both urban and rural areas of South Africa.
Songezo Zibi, the leader of RISE Mzansi, articulated the critical choice facing voters in the upcoming elections. He said, “People have one choice in this election, that is to allow the ANC to continue to rule or not.”
