Opinion Piece by Chris Ackeer| From a young age, I witnessed the horrors of apartheid, feeling helpless against such injustice. As I grew, I found inspiration in the African National Congress (ANC), which strives to elevate and empower African people.
I enthusiastically dedicated my youth and passion to the ANC’s noble cause upon joining its ranks. My belief in its profound historical mission remains unshaken to this day. Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to work with esteemed and senior leaders of the ANC, an experience that I deeply value and appreciate.
Despite the challenges confronting the ANC, it is imperative that steadfast supporters like myself remain resolute in our commitment. While some may waver and others may lose faith, genuine cadres must stand firm in defense of our shared principles and ideals.
As a dedicated member of the ANC, my loyalty is firmly grounded in the party’s enduring struggle for freedom, justice, and equality. Despite differing paths chosen by some senior leaders, my allegiance to the ANC remains unwavering. Our movement encapsulates the aspirations of millions, and I firmly believe in its ability to guide our nation toward a brighter tomorrow.
I am fully committed to advancing the ANC’s mission, fostering unity, and driving progress within our ranks. Guided by the values of integrity, inclusivity, and service to our people, I remain steadfast in my dedication to the ANC and its vision for a prosperous and equitable South Africa.
