PRETORIA – The Presidency has confirmed that Wednesday, 19 June 2024, the day marking President-Elect Cyril Ramaphosa’s inauguration, will remain a standard working day for all South Africans.

Following his re-election by Parliament on Friday, 14 June 2024, President-Elect Ramaphosa’s swearing-in will occur at the renowned Union Buildings in Pretoria. The event is set to draw significant national and international attention, highlighting South Africa’s democratic processes.

Members of the public, especially those journeying to Pretoria for the inauguration or other engagements, should be informed about potential traffic disruptions.
