The Free State Legislature invites the public to participate in the upcoming public hearings, scheduled to begin on April 16, 2024.

The Public Hearings Scheduled by Free State Legislature | will take place at the following venues and will serve various districts and municipalities:

1. At the Multi-Purpose Centre in QwaQwa, within the Maluti-A-Phofung Local Municipality, for the Thabo Mofutsanyane District Municipality.
2. At the Tshepahalo Community Hall in Viljoenskroon, located in the Moqhaka Local Municipality, for both the Fezile Dabi and Lejweleputswa District Municipalities.
3. At the Gariep Dam Hall, situated in the Kopanong Local Municipality at Gariep Dam, for the Mangaung Metro Municipality and Xhariep District Municipality.

The following bills will be under discussion:

1. Electricity Regulation Amendment Bill [B 23B—2023]
2. Plant Health (Phytosanitary) Bill [B 14B—2021]
3. Preservation and Development of Agricultural Land Bill [B 8B—2021]

The legislature encourages all interested and affected parties to attend and give their input on these important legislative measures.
