VANDERBIJLPARK – The Emfuleni Local Municipality has officially invited bids for two critical service contracts, with deadlines set for February 2025. These include the appointment of a service provider for the provision of Caucus Lekgotla and a panel of service providers for indigent and pauper burial services. The tenders were announced on 6 February 2025 as part of the municipality’s latest procurement process.
Tender Details and Closing Dates
The municipality is calling on qualified service providers to submit their bids for the following projects:
1. Appointment of a Service Provider for the Provision of Caucus Lekgotla

• Closing Date: 20 February 2025, 10:00 AM

Bidders are required to comply with the minimum requirements as stipulated in the tender document.
Collection and Submission of Bid Documents
Interested service providers can purchase bid documents at the Emfuleni Local Municipality Offices in Vanderbijlpark, located at Cnr Klasie Havenga Street & Frikkie Meyer Boulevard, Ground Floor. Documents are available for collection from 6 February 2025 at 10:00 AM and will remain accessible until the respective closing dates. The bid document fee of R250 is non-refundable and must be paid in cash or via a bank-guaranteed cheque before collection.
Sealed bids must be submitted to the Bid Box (First Floor) at the Municipal Offices before 10:00 AM on the closing date, after which they will be opened in public.
Evaluation and Adjudication Process
The bid submissions will be evaluated in accordance with the Emfuleni Local Municipality Supply Chain Management Policy and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act No. 5 of 2000. The 80/20 preferential procurement points system will be applied, ensuring that previously disadvantaged service providers have an equitable opportunity.
