Orlando Pirates achieved a significant milestone in their CAF Champions League campaign by securing a 3-0 victory against Stade d’Abidjan at Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening. This triumph marks their first home win in the group stage, propelling them to the top of Group C.

The Buccaneers displayed a dominant performance throughout the match, with goals from Relebohile Mofokeng, Patrick Maswanganyi, and Deon Hotto. Their offensive prowess and solid defense ensured a clean sheet, reflecting the team’s strategic preparation and execution.

Just five minutes after the restart, Patrick Maswanganyi showcased his skill by maneuvering past a defender and placing a precise shot beyond the goalkeeper, doubling the lead. As the match progressed, Deon Hotto sealed the victory with a solo effort, intercepting the ball at the halfway line and finishing confidently in the closing stages.

This victory elevates Orlando Pirates to the top of Group C with eight points after four matches, surpassing Egyptian giants Al Ahly by one point. The current standings are:
