ACE MAGASHULE
Opinion By Shima Mahlatsi
Shima Mahlatsi writes: The repeat of Ace Makgashule rule of disunity – silencing of differing opinions – misrepresentation of officials, PEC & PWC – Corruption and maladministration – disrespect of structures and misuse of ANC constitution – disregard of service delivery to the poor – Thieving – Manupulation – Purging – Patronage – Rule by terror, autocracy and abuse.
Ace Makgashules graduates are giving the ANC flames in the Free State. Tactics and strategies that we have applied to deal with him years back must be applied to these ones who are doing exactly what he did to the ANC and its members some years back. The challenge is that Makgashule has many students who have graduated from his wrong teachings of stealing, manipulation, patronage, purging, undermining of structures, constitution, policies, and principles of the organisation The network is not pity or afraid to expel comrades from their jobs. The network is not afraid to fire councilors who are questioning their corrupt activities in municipalities. Like Ace did, the network is not afraid to go to by elections and produce councilors who will better understand their thievery and corrupt activities. Of course, few beneficiaries will clap hands and defend anything wrong perpetuated by their investors.
Ace used to say ‘Ketla o shapa hore dieta tsa hao dio shebe mahlong* ‘. He used to use these words to anyone who was fighting for a unified ANC and a progressing government. In few days, such members will be suspended from the organisation, suspended from their work place, deployments stoped against them and later ended up expelled from their deployments and work places. I see that happening again in the Free State.
The parasitic network is intending to assert itself and destroy everything left of the organisation, prioritizing their stomachs and lavish life styles of having millions, expensive houses, expensive cars, and expensive mavuso. The network is buying protection everywhere using deployment, business opportunities, and employment to the powerful and the vulnerable. The network is still up to destroy municipalities, destroy branches, destroy capable and ethical leaders in the organization, and destroy systems meant to unite and renew the organisation.
Ace was doing all these kinds of things. At times, he will say.
This is the PWC or PEC position. At times, no PEC or PWC has ever set and resolved into the wrong things he is saying or doing. The problem of that time is that PWC and PEC members were unable to say, but Ace, you are wrong, you are misrepresenting us. The last PEC statement was in September 2024. But many events and matters took place representing the PEC apart from the resolutions outlined in that statement. What does that say to a member who knows and understands how the ANC operates.
The organised parasitic network like Ace Makgashule did is determined to collapse everything in defense of their leadership positions to continue looting and hiding millions and millions for them to survive for years should the ship sink Those who are for the progress of the organisation, those who are against corruption and maladministration, those who are for better and proper services for our communities should be careful in dealing with this network. Remember the casualties of Ace Makgashule?
Exactly like Makgashule did, the network has perpetrated the Leagues and Alliance partners. Some have won them through sweet talk, money, deployments, and business opportunities. Our leagues and alliance are no longer united and no longer speaking with authority and principle.
The network is still planning to penetrate the alliance even further. Use members of alliance against each other. Force members of the alliance to deal with those who try to stop their gravy train. Force the alliance to disband structures and replace them with their own people who will worship them. Contest conferences of the alliance with their people.
Like I said and still saying, more is still to come for I remember the Ace Makgashule error. More is still to come.
What is to be done?
The question can only be answered by men and women who are determined to take the bull by its horns, men and women who are not afraid of suspension, dismissals from their workplace and deployments, men and women of value and substance, brave and ethical men and women, young people who have identified their mission in the Free State Province, a Communist who still carries values and principles of socialism, a unionist who understands what is an injury to one, a Civic leader who is passionate about the life’s of the community members of the Free Staters.
The ANC’S renewal and rebuilding program compromised by factionalism in the Free State.
The very important part of winning back the support of the population which in the last elections moved away from the ANC, to win back that support is going to depend on what we do, not what we say. What we do to win the people back and not what we do to further chase the people away from the ANC.
Shima Mahlatsi I write what I see in my own personal capacity .
