The South African Police Service (SAPS) in Phokeng, North West, is appealing to the public for assistance in locating 35-year-old Bhekiyise Masuku Magagula, who has been missing since Friday, 6 September 2024. Magagula, a resident of Serutube Village in Phokeng near Rustenburg, was last seen by his brother-in-law before disappearing without a trace. Police are working tirelessly on the case but have so far been unsuccessful in locating him.
North West police spokesperson, Colonel Adéle Myburgh, provided details of the investigation, stating that all leads have been followed without success. “A search was conducted around Phokeng, and all leads were followed up, without successful results. The family is unsure about what the missing person was wearing at the time of his disappearance. He is dark in complexion with brown eyes, a medium build, about 1.6 meters tall, with black hair.”
Magagula’s family, deeply concerned for his safety, is pleading with anyone who might have information regarding his whereabouts to come forward. Colonel Myburgh stressed the urgency of the situation and urged the community to provide any information that could aid the police in their search. “Anyone who may have information regarding the missing person’s whereabouts can contact the Investigating Officer, Warrant Officer Johanna Masenya, on 076 834 4165, or the South African Police Service (SAPS) Crime Stop on 08600 10111. Anonymous tip-offs can also be communicated via the MySAPS App.”
