Ngizwe Mchunu Returns Vehicle

Former Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu has complied with JAC Motors’ request and returned their vehicle, leading to the termination of their relationship with him. This action came after the EFF in KZN filed a complaint against Mchunu for his controversial remarks directed at party leader Julius Malema.

Mchunu had suggested that KZN is exclusively for Zulus and advised Malema to launch the EFF Manifesto in Limpopo instead of KZN. He also questioned Malema’s leadership and linguistic abilities, stating: “You are a leader who can’t speak isiZulu, the only language you know is English, you address our Zulu people in English, what a leader are you?”

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) said it was expecting to fill up Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium when it holds its manifesto launch in February on the 10th, ahead of the national general elections.

In a statement, JAC Motors Port Shepstone expressed their condemnation of Mchunu’s tribalistic remarks and affirmed their commitment to embracing the fundamental right of every citizen to live and commute freely within South Africa. Chief Operations Officer Sicelo Nyandeni said: “Every citizen has the right to live anywhere in South Africa and to freely commute across provinces without prior approval.”

Mchunu issued a public apology for his remarks, but notably failed to apologize directly to Julius Malema. The EFF in KZN has welcomed JAC Motors’ decision, reiterating their intolerance of tribalism and racism.
