Zuma has been actively leading the party’s campaign efforts across the country, particularly in KwaZulu-Natal, where the party is gaining traction.

Mlungisi “Watu” Simelane has been nominated to represent the MK Party in Pongola, as the party aims to challenge the stronghold of the IFP in the area following the resignation of the local councillor.

Ahead of the by-election, one MK Party supporter, @mtimande2024_, urged Simelane to prioritize the needs of the people in Ward 2 and to bring back dignity to the community. Simelane, in response to former President Zuma’s daughter, Duduzile Zuma, expressed readiness for the by-elections and requested the support of Zuma.
