The ANC Women’s League Free State Province recently held its 9th Provincial Congress at Imvelo Safari Lodge in Bloemfontein, where new leaders were elected.
Under the theme of “Advancing decisive action towards the full liberation and emancipation of women,” Connie Msibi emerged as the new ANCWL Free State Provincial Chairperson.
It is worth mentioning that Msibi also holds the positions of ANC Regional Deputy Chairperson and Executive Mayor in the Thabo Mofutsanyana Region.
Other individuals elected during the congress include Mando Shasha as ANCWL Deputy Provincial Chairperson, Theo Mosala as ANCWL Provincial Secretary, Matsholo Mmolotsane as ANCWL Deputy Provincial Secretary, and Dikeledi Direko as ANCWL Provincial Treasurer.

Moreover, the Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) welcomed several additional members, namely Sibongile Tsoleli, Thokozile Mokoenanyana, Tonosi Pindani, Dineo Motlhabane, Nunu Khalimane, Ponini Ramabodu, Zingisa Mgauli, Nkagisang Qwelani, Victoria De Beer Mthombeni, Nthabising Mokodutlo, Sonto Motaung, Masetlhare Lelahla, Lengau Nthabiseng, Thoko Yende, Mokotla Matshepo, Molete Maditlhare, Mamokete Lekaota, Mamiki Setabela, Kenalang Phukuntsi, and Malehlohonolo Moipati.
During the congress, various reports were presented and the plenary was addressed by Boitumelo Moiloa, a member of the National Executive Committee. The event was opened by Provincial Secretary Polediso Motsoeneng and closed by Provincial Chairperson Mxolisi Dukwana.
