The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has recently announced that Moroka Swallows will be unable to honor their fixtures against Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows due to unpaid player salaries, resulting in a strike.

This unfortunate situation has led to the cancellation of the scheduled DStv Premiership fixtures, causing inconvenience to clubs, sponsors, and spectators. The PSL has expressed their sincere apologies to all stakeholders affected by this turn of events.

In a statement released by the PSL, they stated, “The Premier Soccer League has been officially notified today that Moroka Swallows Football Club is unable to fulfill its scheduled DStv Premiership fixtures against Mamelodi Sundowns on 27 December 2023, and Lamontville Golden Arrows on 30 December 2023. The League extends its sincere apologies to all stakeholders for this unfortunate situation.”

Additionally, Moroka Swallows FC issued an apology, expressing regret for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the games. They attributed the issue to an unresolved dispute between players and management, which led to the request for the cancellation of the fixtures to allow time to address the situation.

The club assured everyone that they are working towards finding a resolution and requested understanding from all parties involved.
