Mmusi Maimane's BOSA Successfully Qualifies for Election Ballot

Mmusi Maimane BOSA Leader

Johannesburg – Mmusi Maimane’s political party, Build One South Africa (BOSA), has crossed the signature threshold required for participation in the national ballot and all provincial elections. An impressive collection of 140,000 signatures, markedly surpassing the requisite number, was personally delivered to the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) on Thursday.

Addressing a gathering of journalists and supporters outside the IEC Head Office, Maimane expressed BOSA’s readiness to engage in the electoral combat. This remarkable achievement comes against the backdrop of the Constitutional Court’s decision to dismiss BOSA’s plea to revise the necessary signatures—a condition considered excessively stringent for new political contenders.

“Our activists, candidates, and supporters have tirelessly journeyed to every part of our beautiful land, requesting South Africans to empower us to represent them in the elections slated for May 29. Today, we are proud to affirm that we’ve secured upwards of 140,000 signatures, a figure that eloquently speaks of the confidence bestowed upon us by the citizens,” the statement from BOSA proclaimed.

Certainly not resting on their laurels, the BOSA leaders personally handed the bundle of signatures to the electoral authority, confidently securing their spot in the upcoming political race.

The party’s official release expressed deep gratitude towards the South African populace for their overwhelming support. “We are indebted to the citizens of this nation for entrusting us with such a significant mandate. Our commitment is to spearhead a campaign that exudes integrity and optimism, thereby kindling hope in millions yearning for a paradigm shift from the entrenched political milieu.”

Going beyond just meeting the qualification criteria, BOSA emphasized their preparedness with a national footprint across all nine provinces, fronted by a leader of Maimane’s stature and backed by candidates touted as innovative, skilled, and fervently dedicated to nation-building.

Taking an inclusive stance, BOSA extended an olive branch to all political entities, community organizations, and independent groups to unite under their banner. “Our pursuit to dismantle the archaic political framework is an inclusive cause. We extend an invitation to join us as we strive not just for electoral victory but for the broader vision of fostering unity and prosperity in South Africa,” BOSA’s statement read.
