MK Party Appoints Bonginkosi Khanyile as National Coordinator and Volunteer in Chief

Jacob Zuma and Bonginkosi Khanyile

Former President Jacob Zuma’s backed umkhonto we sizwe Party (MK Party) has named Fees Must Fall activist Bonginkosi Khanyile as its national coordinator and Volunteer in Chief of uMkhonto We Sizwe Youth Ground Forces.

This announcement comes after Khanyile was abruptly fired by the Patriotic Alliance (PA) of Gayton MacKenzie when he was spotted speaking at an MK rally in Verulam Durban last month.

Despite his dismissal, Khanyile expressed that he attended the rally merely to greet the former president, seeing himself as a son of Zuma.

In a statement , the party said “The National Interim Leadership Core of the uMKHONTO WE SIZWE Party has appointed cde Bonginkosi Khanyile as the National Coordinator and Volunteer in Chief of uMkhonto We Sizwe Youth Ground Forces (MKYGF).

The decision was made after a thorough assessment of the situation facing the youth in our country and as to which young leader would be best-suited and fit-for-purpose to lead. His role will be to coordinate efforts and organise the youth to rally behind the banner of the MK Party, whilst mobilizing and agitating them to wage popular struggles.

‘Any country that’s doesn’t take care of its youth doesn’t deserve it’s future’- OR Tambo.

Ours is to centre the agenda of the youth at all material times. Free education, employment for all, a fight against drugs and alcohol, a fight against GBV and all other socials top our agenda as the incoming government. Hence we call upon all young people to register to vote MK Party.

Cde Bonginkosi Khanyile has the right credentials and consciousness to lead efforts to overcome the myriad of challenges facing the youth of our country.

Everything for the revolution and nothing against it!!!”
