Zizi Kodwa Wishes Bafana Bafana Well
As Bafana Bafana set off for Côte d’Ivoire to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, Minister Zizi Kodwa expressed his confidence and well wishes for the national team. The team’s departure was accompanied by a message from the Minister, who expressed his belief that the team will make South Africa proud and raise the flag high.
During a training match against Lesotho, the national football side played to a goalless draw at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville. This follows a statement from Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos, who addressed concerns about injured players. Captain and goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, midfielder Themba Zwane, and Mothobi Mvala are all managing injuries, but Mvala remains part of the AFCON-bound team until further medical evaluation.
The AFCON tournament will take place from 13 January to 11 February 2024, and Bafana Bafana’s first game will be against Mali, with the Minister hopeful for their success.
