Michael Mayalo: China is a peace loving country

OPINION BY Michael Mayalo – During my Quarantine period in China, I did a lot of reading and watching documentaries in between my lectures.

One of the most popular videos on YouTube remains “ The coming war with China” where you hear that America is inevitably will have to go to war with China. If you listen to the reasons you find out in fact there is no reason for America to go to war with China, but one of the commentators remarked that China will have to be put in their place? Why so that they can know America is the self-appointed policeman of the world using their dictatorship to impose their will.

China has always been very isolated and even built a foundation  ,”The Great Wall” to protect itself from invaders.

Whilst Chinese were wearing long sophisticated silk clothing and carving intricate jade figures the Europeans were still living in caves.

China has already shaped the world in so many ways whilst Europe were still sleeping, if we look at the Italian cuisine introduced by Marco Polo and at the invention of gunpowder, Chinese sailing ships were 10 times bigger than any European ship and thus China has no need to prove themselves like the  immature bully by the Colanist Country, I am aware that already  the propaganda war is increasing against China, I am reading “The coming collapse of China” – by Gordon G. Chang which is nothing short of a thumb suck from CIA front organisations.

Well let’s look at a critical example, recently America banned Huawei phones as they say it will be used for spying but Apple has refused the give a security backdoor to the American security agencies in order to SPY on their own citizens.

We need to take China seriously as not only are they the second biggest if not already the biggest economy in the world but in terms of technology they are catching up with  America and in the past we were told Japan was stealing those capatalist technology at least the same claims are not made of China, if so in a very limited manner as China produces so many engineers today that an Capitalist  article illustrated it like this he said if you take all the computer engineers in America you can fill a room with them but if you take all the Chinese computer engineers you need 100 football fields yes one hundred.

As I recently moved into China, I met a student who spent time in China to learn how to repair brass musical instruments an art which is gradually being lost in the west yet Chinese value culture as something integral to societal development something we will do well in internalising.

Any business who wants a stake in the world market must take China on board neglecting to do so risks failure. Gone is the time when international business was exclusively a flight to America and Britain.

One of the growing menaces we have to deal with is Xenophobia towards Chinese and other foreigners, unfortunately to spot a Europeand and American in South Africa is difficult but to spot a Chines is so easy due to phenotype differences,  hundreds of American companies as well as British and other European companies have been doing business for years in South Africa with no claims or fears  foreigners are taking over our economy.

Ignorance amongst our youth has thus lead to fall claims and unnecessary violence to Chinese businesses which are providing essential services to our people in the locations.

China in a few years time has lifted over 100 million people out of poverty a feat which we an well try to imitate from the Chinese and it is thus essential for our youth to rather interact with Chinese than America youth in terms of their superior morality as well where there is no culture of disrespect , drunkenness and drug abuse amongst Chinese youth.

China is currently the biggest investor in Africa and many public infrastructure projects are financed and built by China and Chinese companies.

There is a lot of rumours being spread by western propagandists informing the public that Chinese investment is only one way and that China is the colonialists of Africa.

Amongst the educated youth which is in the majority such lies has no effect but amongst the lost generation who left school early such myths are used to support their own myopic prejudices.

Today many hundreds of South African educators are teaching in China at huge salaries which they would not have been able to enjoy in South Africa where billions are still lost to corruption each year.

For your youth to remain relevant it is imperative to strengthen ties with youth of China who is a focused on success as their nation and their government.
