For the first time since the tournament’s inception in 2018, Meyerton City FC from Meyerton, Gauteng, will compete in the prestigious Edgar Legoale Easter Soccer Tournament 2025! This marks a historic moment for the club as they step onto the grand stage to challenge some of the best kasi football teams in the country.
💛🖤 Meyerton City FC is a revived version of the Knights club, originally formed in 2018. The team currently competes in the Fezile Dabi Men’s Regional League as Dortmund City, in partnership with Sasolburg Dortmund. Their ultimate goal is to secure promotion to the ABC Motsepe League.
Although they do not regularly participate in local tournaments, their previous experience playing alongside Sasolburg Dortmund has taught them the importance of professionalism in high-stakes matches. They now use competitive tournaments like Edgar Legoale Easter Soccer Tournament as part of their training and match preparation for future league success.
