In a shocking turn of events, Metsimaholo Local Municipality Council has suspended three directors, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and the Municipal Manager on allegations regarding a security tender. The council has taken this decision to maintain the integrity of the municipality and ensure a fair investigation into the matter.
The Director of Social Services, has been suspended, and in his place, Ntate Thile will now serve as the Acting Director.
The Director of LED (Local Economic Development), has also been suspended. To fill her position, Ausi Tshidi Mokhefa has been appointed as the new Acting Director.
Furthermore, the Director of Technical Services, has been suspended. To ensure the seamless continuation of services, Mvulane Khuks has been appointed as the Acting Technical Director.
Additionally, the CFO, has been suspended pending further investigation. In the meantime, Clive Scheepers has been appointed as the Acting CFO.
Finally, Basi Motloung has been appointed as the Acting Municipal Manager by the Council on the 5th of July, 2023.
