“Don’t Be a Mother, Be a Wife”

Key Message:

In many marriages, women unintentionally take on a maternal role, leading to an unhealthy dynamic. Remember:

  1. Your husband is not your child.
  2. Your role is partner, not parent.

Scripture:

“Ephesians 5:33 – However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” (NIV)

Reflection:

  1. Equal partnership: Marriage requires mutual respect, love, and submission.
  2. Avoid control: Refrain from mothering or controlling your husband.

Practical Tips:

  1. Communicate as equals.
  2. Respect boundaries.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Help me balance my roles, being a loving wife and partner. Grant me wisdom to respect and support my husband.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
