Police spokesperson Warrant Officer, Mmako Mophiringconfirmed the alleged incident has been happening since February 2022 and he threatened to kill her if she tells anyone.

“On Saturday 12 November 2022, the 11-year-old girl and her grandmother went to the police station to report an alleged rape by her grandfather, who allegedly raped her several times while her grandmother was away. It’s further alleged that he threatened to kill her if she spilled the beans with regard to the incident,” said Mophiring.

The affected granddaughter alleged that the reason she did not inform her grandmother about the incident was because she has been receiving death threats from her grandfather.
