Bloemfontein – The Asbestos case of the suspended African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General, Ace Magashule has been postponed to 03 November 2021 for another pre-trial conference.
“Unfortunately is that the 3rd of November is my birthday, so you can see that the state is just wasting our time…it is clear this thing is political,” said Magashule.
The suspended Secretary General claims his corruption is politically motivated but he failed to name the person who is targeting him politically.
Magashule alongside with his co-accused appeared at the Free State High Court on charges of fraud, theft, corruption, money laundering.

Meanwhile Magashule has asked journalists about his more than 70 counts, including fraud, corruption and money laundering that he has been charged with as he was addressing the media out of the Free State High Court.
“While when I listen to media… television interviews I hear people saying there are 70 charges against me. Which are those charges? You are journalists, just tell me about one charge,” said Magashule.
The charges against the accused relate to the R255-million asbestos tender fraud in the Free State when Magashule was still the province’s premier.
The NPA is confident it has a solid case against the ANC Secretary-General and his 15 co-accused.
