Eskom not expected to implement load shedding during elections - Pravin

Loadshedding is Back

Earlier this morning, Eskom announced a suspension of loadshedding due to improved generation capacity. However, just six hours later, at 12:24, the power utility has declared that loadshedding will resume. Despite the improved performance of generation, planned maintenance and an expected increase in electricity demand has led to the implementation of Stage 2 loadshedding from 16:00 onwards.

Eskom expects a return of 765MW of generation capacity later tonight, with a peak demand forecast of 24 383MW for Sunday evening. The power utility has stated that it will communicate any significant changes as necessary.
