Suspect Killed

A 36-year-old man, identified as one of Limpopo’s most-wanted criminals, was fatally shot during a confrontation with police in Ga-Komape village, Moletji, near Seshego. The suspect had been evading authorities for three years and was linked to 17 serious crimes, including multiple murders, attempted murders, carjackings, and business robberies. 
Acting on intelligence, the Mopani Tracking Team and Seshego police located the suspect’s hideout. Upon arrival, the suspect emerged from a room and opened fire on the officers, who retaliated, resulting in his death. A firearm and a vehicle used by the suspect were seized at the scene. 
Limpopo police commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, commended the officers for their swift action in apprehending the suspect. An inquest has been opened at Seshego police station, and the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has been notified and has visited the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
