This decision comes after a mutual agreement between the player and the club, with the intention of furthering Austin’s career opportunities elsewhere.

Austin Dube was welcomed into the Amakhosi family in July 2021, after signing from Richards Bay. In a short span of time, he proved his worth as a dedicated and talented player.

Making his debut as a substitute in a memorable 2-1 victory over Baroka FC at the iconic FNB Stadium, Dube certainly left an indelible mark in the hearts of the Chiefs’ faithful.

Unfortunately, conversations between Dube’s representatives and club management during the off-season led to the conclusion that it would be best to terminate the player’s contract prematurely. While this decision is undoubtedly disheartening, it is crucial to prioritize Austin’s career progression and seize new opportunities.

Sporting Director Motaung Jr acknowledged Dube’s exceptional professionalism throughout his tenure with Kaizer Chiefs, expressing gratitude for his invaluable contribution to the team. The 30-year-old defender played a total of 18 matches, with 13 starting appearances, proudly donning the Gold & Black.

As Austin Dube bids farewell to his fellow teammates, the Kaizer Chiefs community wishes him nothing but the best in his future endeavors. His commitment and dedication to the team will be remembered fondly, and his departure marks the end of an era for both player and club.
