Kaizer Chiefs Football Club has expressed its deep sadness following the tragic news of the passing of the mother of their goalkeeping coach, Ilyes Mzoughi. The club announced the loss of Hasna Mansour, who passed away on Thursday, granting Mzoughi a compassionate leave to return to his homeland and be with his family during this time of grief.

In a heartfelt message of support, Kaizer Chiefs Executive Chairman, Dr. Kaizer Motaung, extended his deepest condolences to Mzoughi and his loved ones, joining the rest of the club in standing in solidarity during this difficult period.

Club Statement and Condolences:

In an official statement posted on the club’s website, Kaizer Chiefs expressed their heartfelt sympathy to Mzoughi and his family. “It is with great sadness that Kaizer Chiefs received news of the tragic passing of goalkeeping coach Ilyes Mzoughi’s mother. As one of our own, the entire Kaizer Chiefs family feels strong empathy and stands in solidarity with Ilyes and his loved ones,” the club said.

Mzoughi, who has been an integral part of Kaizer Chiefs’ technical team, was immediately granted compassionate leave to attend to his bereavement in his homeland. The club acknowledged the emotional toll this tragedy has taken on Mzoughi and reiterated their full support for him during this time.

Executive Chairman, Dr. Kaizer Motaung, expressed his personal condolences, stating: “I am really sorry to learn of the passing of Ilyes’ mother and, on behalf of the Kaizer Chiefs family, I wish to extend my deepest condolences to Ilyes and his family during this time of bereavement.” He further noted the strong bonds within the team and how they unite during moments of tragedy.
