The leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema , paid a visit to the Kgomotsego Old Age Home in Northern Cape on Friday as part of the party’s nationwide celebration of its 10th anniversary.

He promised Kgosi Pelonomi Toto of Bogosi jwa Batlharo in the Northern Cape five cows as a way of honoring her as a traditional leader. This announcement came as a surprise to many, as Malema explained that where he comes from, traditional leaders do not usually join party activities; rather, politicians go to them.

Malema expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Queen at the celebration, stating, “Now that the Queen has come to celebrate with us, she has honored us. It is only appropriate that we show our appreciation by presenting five cows to the Queen tomorrow.” These cows were delivered as promised, receiving praise from Malema who exclaimed, “The EFF Delivers On Its Promises!”

Leading the EFF delegation to deliver the five cows was Shadrack Tlhaole, the EFF Northern Cape Leader. This act of honoring the Royal Highness Kgosi Pelonomi Toto showcased the commitment of Malema and the EFF to respecting and recognizing the traditional leaders of South Africa.

Furthermore, Malema’s commitment to the community did not end there. He also made a generous donation of R100,000 to the old age home where the anniversary celebration took place. In his speech, Malema emphasized that he is not an ANC politician who simply makes empty promises. Instead, he sees his promises as commitments and follows through on them.

The EFF’s 10th-year celebration serves as a platform to showcase how the party has restored the dignity of ordinary South Africans. #EFFTurns10
