The leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema , paid a visit to the Kgomotsego Old Age Home in Northern Cape on Friday as part of the party’s nationwide celebration of its 10th anniversary.
During the visit, Malema made a generous donation of R100,000 to the home, expressing the party’s commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of the elderly.
Malema emphasized the significance of the donation, stating, “So, as part of our contribution, we are going to leave R100,000 here, re fe institution, re bone gore naa, re ka thiba mo kae.” This gesture demonstrates not only the EFF’s dedication to uplifting marginalized communities but also their long-term commitment to the Kgomotsego Old Age Home.

In addition to the donation, Malema announced that the @EFFSouthAfrica has adopted 10 old age homes across the country. “We took a decision ya gore we need to adopt ten (10) Old Age or Orphanage, or disabled school or anything of that sort – then re be dichomi le bona, re tsebaneng,” he said. This revolutionary approach to caring for the elderly showcases the party’s vision for a society that values and supports its senior citizens.
Malema encouraged the Kgomotsego Old Age Home to establish relationships with other institutions and organizations. By forging these connections, the home can foster a sense of community and collaboration, amplifying their impact on the lives of the elderly.
Reflecting on the EFF’s 10th anniversary, Malema reminded party members of their commitment to uplifting the Black population. “10-years means 10-years of doing good things for Black people,” he stated.
