Cllr Jack Malindi has retained his position as the Executive Mayor of the Metsimaholo Municipality following a special council meeting on February 5th, 2024 (Today).
During this meeting, a motion of no confidence was submitted by the Democratic Alliance (DA) to remove him from office. Despite these efforts, the motion did not pass as the majority of council members voted in his favor.
Out of the total votes, 24 councilors voted against the motion, showing their support for Malindi to continue in his role as Executive Mayor, while only 14 councilors voted in favor of the motion, wanting to see him removed from his position.
