Opinion by Thamsanqa Milela – I am actually asking you, as our both ANC leader and the Premier of the Free State, the ANC I lobbied and campaigned for I know it not to be associated with corrupt people in this province and I shouldn’t be afraid nor scared of asking the leadership I believe in questions when I see them seem to be in cohorts or sleeping in same bed with corrupt people!
I have come to be surprised and shocked as a dedicated and committed member of the ANC in the province of Free State today, this is because of what I believed in seems to be no different from what we all fought against in the previous administration.
What business do we have with criminals Cde Dukwana in this province, vele? When we have to mum, slow or selective in dealing with criminals in the Provincial government when my trust in you is so much because of your testimonies in Zondo Commission that you want nothing to do with anything that has or is near corruption!
It is not a secret that Treasury HOD is under serious investigation by the Office of the Public Protector and Public Service Commission with earnest allegations and which has tangible evidence, but she is still in office and even went as far as continuing to undermine the authorities and using state resources to fight that battle because she is still in office.
Ntate Dukwana Mxolisi I have no doubt in your leadership but don’t want us to start doubting you, what are you waiting for to suspend Mme Masechaba Sesing?
Is this not enough?
– Backdating of an extension contract which is said to worth Billions with Standard Bank in the province, what is she to or have benefited from doing such fraud and corruption?
– Nepotism in which Me Masechaba without following proper procedures has appointed one of her Churches’ congregant in an Internship, what more is she being doing for her family and friends at the expense of state funds?
– Her interfering with the recruitment of a Director to be responsible for Fiscal Policy, what is she afraid of to have such or want to appoint her preference?
Cde Dukwana your failure to suspend Mme Masechaba Sesing now, will raise our people’s eyebrows because we know you to be an innocent, credible and ethical person hence some of us went all out even when it was fashionable to raise and praise your name to lead a clean government for us and be the leader of the glorious movement of President Langalibalele because we knew in you, we have a very strict leader.
Your failure to suspend Mme Masechaba will simply tell the people that you are not different from what you and us fought against for so many years, you will be making us a laughingstock in those we condemned in the previous for conducting fraud, looting and practiced Nepotism like nobody’s business.
Don’t you ever test or make the people who trust you to doubt your leadership skills leadership, that mme Masechaba is obvious is not of a pot we want to cook a transparent, fair and clean government we were hoping to build under your leadership?
I don’t know mme Masechaba Sesing, she doesn’t know me and I have nothing to lose in calling on her wrongdoings out and nothing to gain from her being suspended while she deals with these allegations and investigations at home because trust me, while she is still there, she will continue using our tax money to fight her battles of corruption.
Cde Dukwana Mxolisi the people are watching on you, don’t invite the enemies of progress to capitalize on our failure to run a clean government and remind us that you and us fought against this, but you are happy today with such people in your government.
The Office of Public Protector confirmed the investigations and the Public Service Commission, what else or more do you need nor wait for to suspend that HOD of Treasury?
I am giving you this friendly advises because I believe in you, I believe in your leadership, hence I sacrificed most of my things, relations, and comrades to be on your side even before we can fight for the President Cyril to be the President in 2017, I believed in you when you can not give any of us transport money to come in Odendaal in 2017 but used hikes to go to that meeting which was to strategized how are we going to support the sitting President and taking over Free State from the corrupt individuals we so believe were practicing the same things Mme Masechaba is doing today under your leadership.
Do the right thing, mme Masechaba must go deal with her cases and once she is cleared, then we can have her back, but for now, she is a rotten potato in your clean government, and it will dent its image, please do the Honorable thing our Honourable Premier!
