Toto Makume, the MEC of the Free State Department of Human Settlements, is set to address the recent concerns regarding the tender for the construction of 2000 RDP houses. The houses will be awarded to a single contractor with an 8/9 CIDB grading.

The tender is set to close this Monday. However, the move has faced criticism from the EFF Provincial Secretary, Bosanku Msimanga, who argues that it disadvantages emerging contractors. Msimanga is expected to provide further comment on the matter in an upcoming interview..
