In his remarks, the Deputy President underscored the importance of engaging in further discussions to refine the details of this initiative. While the commissions have concluded their work, the secretariat requires more time to consider the comments of political parties before finalizing the declaration.

Mashatile highlighted the unanimous agreement on the need for a national framework, while acknowledging the divergent views that need further refinement regarding its implementation and whether it necessitates legislation or regulation.

During the closing address of the dialogue, Mashatile called upon political parties to collaborate and bring about the stability and economic growth that South Africa so urgently requires.

He expressed satisfaction with the productive discussions held during the event and the consensus that coalition governments are an ongoing topic that must continue to be addressed.

The Deputy President emphasized the collective desire for stability, economic prosperity, and the stability of municipalities. He emphasized that by prioritizing stability, South Africa can achieve its full potential as a nation.
