By Thys Khiba – Alias Kotswana Ditsela aged 52 and Petrus Sefara, (48) have appeared have appeared in the Lephalale Magistrate’s court yesterday, Tuesday 11 October on charges of murder and house robbery.
This comes after a 52-year-old man has been arrested along with his two accomplices aged 40 and 48 for allegedly killing his 47-year-old estranged wife Sbongile Ditsela.
The third suspect is expected to appear in court today, 12 October.
Her body was found in a pool of blood at her home in Onverwacht outside Lephalale town in June 2021.

Police established that the deceased’s husband allegedly hired two hitmen to kill his wife at their house in Onverwacht.
“On the day in question, the suspect had come to the house to make arrangements to collect his daughter after school. After the domestic worker opened for him, he went straight to the bedroom where he found his wife lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds,” said Lieutenant colonel Mamphaswa Seabi.
On the day of the scene, police found that the suspects broke the window to gain access to the bedroom without anyone inside the house noticing.
“The suspects took the deceased’s cellphone and car keys. The deceased was also found strangled with a rope.”
The first suspect was arrested on October 7 in Ga-Makanye village under Mankweng policing area.
Ditsela was arrested on Sunday at his other house in Ga-Seleka village in Lephalale and the third was arrested in the early hours of yesterday in Mankweng
The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe is impressed by the ‘excellent and intensive’ investigation conducted by law enforcement officials.
Their case was postponed to 14 October 2022 for formal bail application.
