On the 29th of this month, eight fights are scheduled, with the SA title fight serving as the main attraction.

A night of blood, sweat and tears is on the cards. The highlight of the tournament will be the SA Middleweight title contest.
Title-holder Nkululeko “Bull Dog” Mhlongo faces a stiff challenge from an old foe, John “Section 10” Bopape. It’s bound to be an exciting 12-round rematch, with Bopape having already claimed the scalp of his nemesis.
Promoter Lebo Mahoko says, “We are promising the best event which will help revive the sport of boxing.”
Boxing South Africa’s Acting CEO, Erick Sithole, says their goal is to revive boxing. “We intend to bring more boxing events in the free state. we also want to introduce indigenous language and also collaborate with other sports, to bring more entertainment.”
Two of the scheduled bouts involve female fighters. Current SA and WBF champion, Matshidiso “Scorpion Queen” Mokebisi, will lock horns with Cecilia Pitiseni.
“She is confident of the victory after losing her previous fight.”
Newcomer Nosiacwase “Golden Girl” Dube will clash with Sehliselwe Nhlisiyo. “I have been practicing and I am now prepared for the big game. I will not disappoint myself.”
The government also came on board. Free State Arts and Culture Chief Director, Kutlwano Tlhakudi says, “We support mass participation… This is the beginning of good relations.”
Meanwhile, the supporting contest will be an eight-round Junior Middleweight fight featuring Bloemfontein’s very own Jackson Kaptein and Junior Makhondo.
