The Free State ANC Veterans League held its 3rd Provincial Conference on Saturday, resulting in the election of new leadership led by Provincial Chairperson General Moadira.

This notable event was attended by esteemed individuals such as the ANC Provincial Chairperson Mxolisi Dukwana, ANCWL Provincial Convenor Cde Lulama Odili-Titi, SACP Free State Deputy Provincial Secretary Teboho Kgolonyane, and COSATU Free State Provincial Secretary Monyatso Mahlatsi.
The conference was graced by the presence and speeches of the National Leadership of the ANCVL, led by Snuki Zikalala, who delivered the keynote address. Zikalala was joined by National Deputy Coordinator Suzanne Shabangu and National Organiser Cde Pitso Tolo.
At the conference, the following officials were elected into the Provincial Executive Committee: Cde General Moadira as Provincial Chairperson, Cde Suzanne Mnumzana as Provincial Deputy Chairperson, Tsietsi Matang as Provincial Secretary, Loraine Itholeng as Provincial Deputy Secretary, and l Mohau Togoe as Provincial Treasurer. Additionally, 15 members were elected to support the officials.
Life Mokone said the conference will continue its proceedings on Sunday, 2 July 2023, with various commissions established to address crucial matters. These commissions include (a) Renewal, (b) Policy, (c) Elections, (d) Membership and Recruitment, and (e) Constitutional Amendments.
This conference marks an important moment for the Free State ANC Veterans League as it ushers in new leadership and sets the stage for the league’s future endeavors. With their newly elected officials and dedicated members, we can anticipate a period of rejuvenation, thoughtful policy-making, and strategic planning to enhance the league’s contribution to the ANC and the advancement of the Free State province.
