In his resignation statement, Mzobe stated that he can no longer associate with or defend the decisions and policy choices of the ANC. This decision was not an easy one for him, as he acknowledged the bonds he had formed with his comrades in the ANC, SASCO, and the ANCYL. Mzobe expressed his hope that his departure from the ANC would not affect the strong brotherhood and sisterhood he had developed within these organizations.

To make his commitment to the EFF clear, Mzobe shared photos on Sunday, showing him with EFF KZN leaders, signing the party’s membership forms. The location of these photos, Osizweni Township in Newcastle, KZN, holds significance as it is where Mzobe was born and raised. This gesture symbolizes his dedication to the party and his desire to contribute to the struggle for economic freedom in our lifetime.

In another display of his support for the EFF, Mzobe attended a Consultative Meeting with the Creative Sector on Friday. With his background as a sports team owner in KZN, he made valuable contributions to advocate for sportspeople within the party.
