Opinion by Kamohelo Teele | Five reasons why Cadre deployment must be abolished in the State:
1. The urgent need to foster professionalization of the Public Sector to achieve Constitutional aims. Here I am referring to rotten Administration: People who don’t report for duty, some for three hours, Incompetence, duplicates of posts, lack of leadership amongst other challenges.
2. Merit-based recruitment and selection in the Public Sector. Prostitutes and Iceboys have for far too long occupied Public office at the expense of deserving Non partisan South Africans. Go to Municipalities and Provincial Government you will see the mess I am talking about.
3. Strengthening hegemony of the constitution and the rule of law. The constant breach and raping of Public Finance Management Act 2 of 1999 and Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003 in the Spheres of government to rig tenders in the state.
4. Eliminating patronage, corruption, maladministration and imminent collapse of state institutions. Public Sector has become a playground of the Mafia, Ghost workers, criminals and Public resources are channeled towards fundig ANC Regional, Provincial and National Conferences instead of creating jobs and helping millions of our people.
5. Cadre deployment perpetuates the Capture of the State. Criminals are deployed in the State owned Entreprises to facilitate corporate interests, sell assets belonging to the state and use influential positions to drive personal interests.
Cadre deployment must be abolished
