During her visit, the FIFA SG visited the SAFA Constitutional Congress and praised the work being done to empower women and provide them with endless opportunities.

She also was impressed by SAFA’s newly established and popular Hollywoodbets Super League that has lately galvanised the sport among women. The SG said as a result of this popularity, women football in the country was growing in leaps and bounds and the noticeable spin offs were being realised by Banyana Banyana’s phenomenal recent results.

Today, the SG will be in Durban where she will watch the CAF Women’s Champions League (COSAFA Region) final between South Africa’s reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies versus Zimbabwe’s Black Rhinos.
