In a tragic turn of events, the Port Shepstone taxi rank was engulfed in chaos today as the police responded to a horrifying shooting incident. As of now, the investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind this senseless act of violence.

According to Brigadier Jay Naicker, the police spokesperson, the incident occurred when a group of unidentified gunmen approached a taxi at the rank and indiscriminately opened fire on its occupants.

The attack left a devastating toll, claiming the lives of four individuals. Additionally, four others sustained serious gunshot wounds and were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The authorities are currently at a loss in terms of understanding the motive behind this heinous crime. Consequently, a full-fledged investigation has been launched, with detectives focusing on probing four counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder.
